This is a powerful and vital show, and we are committed to doing everything we can to bring it to Gloucester. We’re in close contact with the company and working to support them in making the tour possible in the future.
A powerful circus-theatre show, highlighting the struggles of refugees worldwide. The Palestinian performers reflect on their history – and the repetition of it today for millions of people.

WHAT is it?

SARAB brings together Palestinian performers in a jaw-dropping mix of circus and powerful storytelling – exploring the challenges faced by refugees around the world.
“We are forced,
We had no other option.
Dragged to an uncertain end,
On a road full of obstacles and checkpoints that we could barely pass.
Our destiny unknown.
During the long and rough journey,
We kept dreaming of the moment we would arrive,
Continuing our path towards the unknown.
Finally,
We arrive.
Have we reached our goal?
After floating earth and oceans,
We discover the unexpected.
It really was nothing, but a mirage.”
Recommended age 14+: Show includes loud noises / gunshots or explosions sounds / sexual harassment / aggression / war
The Palestinian Circus was established in 2007 to bring circus to young people in Palestine. It offers young people the voice to speak up about their daily life, their struggle for freedom & their immense desire to live a dignified life.
