This Is How We Do It – Free online sessions exploring different ways of working
Over the past couple of years, many people have asked us about the way we work. At the same time, we’re keen to learn from others who are tackling similar challenges. So, we’re opening up a space for conversation – a chance to share ideas, experiences, and approaches to contemporary arts, cultural events, and even social change, both here in Gloucester and beyond.
Next Up: THIS IS HOW WE DO IT: Improving access and inclusion in the arts for adult survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) – with Viv Gordon

Tuesday 13 October 2026 // 1pm – 2pm // Online (via zoom)
Viv Gordon is a CSA survivor artist activist who has been supported through Strike A Light’s Let Artists Be Artists programme to create opportunities for CSA survivor artists and audiences based in Gloucestershire.
Join Viv, Artistic Director of Viv Gordon Company and Emma Jane, Artistic Director of Strike A Light, as they chat about barriers and facilitators for adult CSA survivors in the arts and cultural sector, why a distinct, specialist offer is needed and what is happening in Gloucester to address this need.
They’ll talk about:
● Viv Gordon’s artistic practice and personal access approach
● Viv Gordon Company’s new report on CSA survivor access to the arts, The Missing Millions
● Why this work matters to us as organisations and what change it will make
● UpFront Survivors Gloucester, a new 3 year programme of work funded by Barnwood Trust
Viv Gordon Company CIC are the UK’s leading CSA survivor-led arts and social justice organisation making kick-ass performance work to resist the dominant culture and celebrate survival.
There will be the opportunity to share your thoughts and ask any questions you might have.
Captions will be enabled on zoom.
