What is it?
Gloucester Future Producers is a chance to develop your skills in and find out more about:
- Producing festivals
- Touring shows
- Creating events
- Promoting gigs
Over 12 weeks you’ll work with other aspiring producers and promoters, meet and hear from different festivals and events professionals to build your network. We’ll look at different areas of producing including:
- Programming and booking performers
- Marketing and promotion
- Fundraising and managing budgets
- Managing live events
You will have the opportunity to produce events in Gloucester with an allocated budget and to undertake a work placement.
Who is it for?
If you’re over the age of 18, live in Gloucester or want to get involved with the Gloucester events scene then this is for you.
You could already be running your own events and want to build your network and develop your career. Or you could just be interested in festivals and events and want to find out more.
The placement you do can be tailored to suit your commitments and the opportunities you’re interested in. There’s no minimum number of hours required so you might want to shadow someone on an event for a day or two, or take on a role in a festival team for a couple of weeks.
When and where is it?
Sessions take place in Gloucester on a Wednesday, 6:30pm-8:30pm
From 22 April – 8 July
Each session will be in a different Gloucester venue but all venues will be in the city centre and easy to get to from the train and coach station.
How do I apply?
If you’d rather talk in person or on the phone instead of applying in writing then get in touch and we can set something up.
Deadline for applications: Monday 8 April
