What is it?

Gloucester Future Producers is a chance to develop your skills in, and learn more about:

  • Touring shows
  • Creating events
  • Promoting gigs
  • Producing festivals

Over 10 weeks you’ll work with other aspiring producers, meet and hear from different festivals and events professionals to build your network. We’ll look at different areas of producing including:

  • Managing live events
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Programming and booking performers
  • Fundraising and managing budgets

You will have the opportunity to produce events in Gloucester with an allocated budget and to undertake a work placement in the industry.

Who is it for?

If you’re over the age of 18, live in Gloucester or want to get involved with the Gloucester events scene then this is for you.

You could already be running your own events and want to build your network and develop your career. Or you could just be interested in festivals and events and want to find out more.

We’re looking for people excited to collaborate with others and with a passion & drive to make exciting events happen in the city.

The placement you do can be tailored to suit your commitments and the opportunities you’re interested in. There’s no minimum number of hours required so you might want to shadow someone on an event for an evening, or take on a role in a festival team for a couple of weeks.

When and where is it?

  • Sessions take place on Thursdays, 6:30pm-8pm
  • The programme will run between 21 April & 23 June (you will be expected to attend the majority of the sessions)
  • Sessions will take place at JOLT in Gloucester city Centre. It is less than five minutes from the train and bus station. There is also parking nearby which is free after 6pm.

How do I apply?

If you would like to apply via a different format (e.g video/audio/chat) then please get in touch with Jess to arrange that info@strikealightfestival.org.uk.
