A one-hour session to see what actually does happen when you pay artists to just…be artists for a year

Almost TWO years ago, we had this idea:

And then, almost ONE year ago, this happened:

Now, after a year of trialling our ‘Let Artists Be Artists’ experiment in the real world, working with three brilliant artists, it’s time to look back and see what the process has uncovered.

Come along and hear from the artists involved about:

  • their experience of the year
  • what was different for them being part of the LABA programme
  • what comes next
  • how this programme might help or support other organisations to try out similar things

You might also want to read our 9-month review session: lessons learned – how to change the way we work with artists.

We’re planning to continue with the Let Artists Be Artists programme, possibly moving to 2-year posts, and we are having conversations with partners who are keen to stay involved.

If you’re interested in this scheme, please do come along!
