Midgitte Bardot’s Personal Spot is making its South West debut, presented by Strike A Light, on Friday 13 February 2026 – and we’re looking for local Gloucestershire talent to get involved.

Personal Spot is an evening of drag, dance, performance art, radical weird stuff, liberation from today’s costly world, and a place for experimentation and play within practice. Hosted by Midgitte Bardot.
The night started as an excuse for attention-seeking Bardot to get out of the house. It was an opportunity for her to get taxis to and from a stage. Now she’ll be getting on a train, ready to meet the weirdest, wildest, wettest, quietest, whatever stars are shining in the South West.
You may be applying to restage an older piece, reimagining a turn, or sharing something brand new. It might be improvised. In the application form, we’d love for you to give us an insight into what we might see on stage.
Here are the three things Bardot and co-curator Willy Amott (who will both review applications alongside the Strike A Light team) consider in curating every Personal Spot:
- Transgression
- Bending time and space
- Something / someone that’s impossible not to love
The world is a strange, absurd, radical feeling place. We are looking for work which pushes boundaries and plays with expectation. We encourage applications from Global majority and Disabled artists.
*Please note: Due to the stage height and sightlines at the Music Works, acts centring on floor work are likely not to be selected.*
